The same happened to me as the complant above the man said his name was Steve and I strung him along as well He gave me a web site www.ammyy.com and wanted me to log on to it but I did not I told him that my computer would not start then he hung up on me
Recieved a phone call from a guy with a thick indian accent claiming to be from the company "techyforpc", wanting to fix "viruses" on my computer that "had been sending errors to their computers". When I pretended I had to go and would call him back to continue fix the rest of the "problem" he gave me this number (09 889 9166). I strung him along for 20 minutes knowing it was a scam call just to see what he would get me to do. He got me to open Windows event viewer and look at Windows logs at all the errors and warnings, claiming these to be an undetectable virus that they would help me fix. He then directed me to www.logmein123.com (to gain remote access of my pc), which is when I stopped playing along with him.
